Mayonnaise making bowl

Hi Steve

Question: Have you ever heard of a mayonnaise making bowl?

A customer asked me a couple of weeks ago and described a bowl with some kind of ring inside that had a small hole in it.

You put the oil in there and it feeds down into the egg yolk at the proper speed. I should have had her draw a picture but I didn't think fast enough.

I appreciate any ideas or thoughts.

Answer: Mary, sorry but I've never heard of such a thing. I even did some research and found nothing.

I've made some unique things, like french butter dishes and netti pots, but never a mayo making bowl.

Has anyone else heard of a mayo making bowl make from pottery?

Steve
